Job Title: IT Instructor-CompTIA A+
Reports To: Director of Programs Exempt
To create access to economic mobility for low-income young adults by providing a technical training in Information Technology (IT); preparation to test for industry certifications, training in career essentials, life skills and job placement assistance. The mission of our Workforce Department is to provide our students the tools to build a better life through a high quality, technical and workforce-readiness education in a structured environment that will ensure their success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and conduct technical training programs
Assess training needs and certification requirements
Deploy training to targeted personnel
Prepare training material and classroom agenda
Provide end user training for client
Conduct presentations and webinars
Create instructor materials (course outlines, background material, instructional materials, and training aids)
Assist in design of computer-based and multimedia curriculum
Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills
Ensure the quality and consistency of course content throughout a course life cycle
Manage the training program in accordance with business needs, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management System
Plan and direct classroom training, electronic learning, multimedia programs, and other computer-aided instructional technologies, simulators, conferences and workshops
Provide student materials
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Programs
Document classroom activities
Prepare daily lesson plans
Track student activities
Create monthly student evaluations
Participate in instructor’s meetings
Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Must hold a minimum of Associate Degree in Information Technology or related field. Current professional or technical certifications strongly preferred: CompTIA A+; CompTIA Network+; CompTIA Security+; CompTIA Linux+; Cisco CCNA and Microsoft. Candidates must have at least 3 years of proven industry experience work in IT or a related occupation. Working knowledge of computer networks and computer hardware. At least one year teaching experience is required. The ability to speak Spanish strongly preferred. University Area Community Development Corporation, Inc. 3
